Obama Administration Announces Plans to Speed Up Immigrant Removal from the U.S.

As the public calls for reform of the U.S. immigration policy, crowds of undocumented immigrants sit in overcrowded detention centers, awaiting removal from the United States. In response, the Obama administration has announced plans to expedite deportations of the children who are flocking across the border in record numbers. While expediting deportation is one answer, it remains to be seen whether that choice will also be humane.
