According to Vice President Joe Biden, there is no Republican Party.

At a retreat for Democratic members of Congress in Maryland on Friday, Vice President Biden implored his fellow Democrats to "aggressively push" their agenda going into the 2014 midterm election year. He added that the GOP is so fractured with so many different factions that the party no longer exists, Mediaite reports.

"There isn't a Republican Party. I wish there were. I wish there was a Republican Party," Biden said on Friday. "I wish there was one person you could sit across the table from, make a deal, make a compromise, and know when you got up from that table it was done."

He also referred to the multiple Republican responses to the State of the Union, which ranged from a moderate conservative response to one from Tea Party members.

"All you had to do was look at the response to the State of the Union," he continued. "What were there, three or four?"

"On every major issue, the American people agree with the Democratic party," the vice president said at an earlier time.

Biden ended his speech by noting that while things are not looking great for Democrats right now, the political climate will improve later in the year.

"Between now and November is three political lifetimes. A lot's going to happen," he insisted. "A lot can change."
