The "Elder Scrolls VI," also dubbed as "Skyrim 2," may be announced this coming June, reports indicate.
A post on the Twitter account of Bethesda Studios announced that the studio will be having an Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 showcase on June 12 in Los Angeles, California.
This announcement has, since then, sparked rumours that the upcoming game will be revealed on that same date.
It was noted in a Gaming Bolt report that a lot of fans and gamers are really hoping that a new Elder Scrolls game will be announced, but it noted that there is also the possibility that this could be revealed next year.
In an earlier interview with Telegraph, Bethesda's vice president of public relations and marketing Peter Hines noted that working on a new game takes time and that they do not really announce what games will come for a specific year.
"We're not the sort of publisher that focusses on 'what's our 25 titles for 2015.' "We do smaller stuff, we don't publish to scale, we try to publish to quality. Make sure everything we do is noteworthy," he added.
It can be remembered that "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" was released last November 11, 2011 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 users. It was followed by "The Elder Scrolls online" which became available in June 2015.
With the rumoured coming of the "Elder Scrolls VI," gamers are already hoping that it will be released with the much-awaited additions and developments.
Here is a wishlist of gamers and fans of the franchise for the upcoming installment:
* An engine similar to that of "Fallout 4"
According to WhatCulture, gamers would want to experience better animations and balance with the game's animations and movements of characters.
It added that these would greatly be appreciated by fans since they would be doing numerous climbs and uphill adventures with the anticipated game.
* Game location
Express noted that players are also hoping that a change in game setting will be done for the upcoming release. It mentioned that Argonia could be the new location to be added in the game, aside from the usual Skyrim environment.
* Character creator
Taking another idea from Fallout 4, WhatCulture said that the creation system for the game could also be adopted for Scrolls in their next instalment or in the coming years.
It noted that this new system is an effective and simple way of coming up with new characters for the game.
