It hasn't been the best week for Robin Thicke. In addition to announcing he's getting divorced from Paula Patton, he's also being pressured to cancel his March 4 concert at the Agganis Arena.

Humanists of Boston University, a student group, have collected more than 2,500 signatures to stop the performance, according to Fox News.

The online petition reads, "Thicke's hit song, 'Blurred Lines', celebrates having sex with women against their will. Lyrics such as, 'I know you want it,' explicitly use non-consensual language. And while watching the extremely explicit video, the insinuations grow from subtle to explicit to obnoxious."

The group's president Patrick Johnson adds, "We see this as a blatant form of reinforcing rape culture and sexism."

His upcoming concert has also sparked an editorial on BU Today, the university-run news website. In her piece, Alicia Cameron asserted that Thicke's lyrics promote sexual assault.

"I've read something like 30 interviews with Thicke over the last few days, and things never fully add up when he's talking about "Blurred Lines." One moment, the song is about his wife; another, it's satire," she wrote.

"When asked if 'Blurred Lines' promotes rape, Thicke replied, 'I can't even dignify that with a response; that's ridiculous.' I'm not sure Thicke can tell sexual assault survivors that his words don't sound 'rape-y,' when, frankly, they do," she continued.

The petition seems to be gaining more steam, as there is also a Huffington Post Google+ Hangout that happened on the camps. Johnson and Bhaswati Cahttopadhyay, another Humanist member, discuss rape culture with the news site.

The group is also planning a peaceful protest the day of the concert in front of the arena.

Boston University said the show is unlikely to be canceled as the school has nothing to do with the booking of the show, according to a university spokesman.
