Singer turned actress Rita Ora surprised many when she was cast as Christian Grey's sister in the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie. But now, she talks beyond the film and finally speaks up about her controversial split from DJ Calvin Harris.
In the upcoming December 2014 issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine, the 23-year-old cover girl only had praises to say about her ex. She explained how the challenges of maintaining a long distance relationship got the better of them.
"There's only so much you can do when you don't see each other. I really admire people who have long-distance relationships. It's an incredible achievement. I couldn't do it," the "I Will Never Let You Down" singer said.
Her revelation finally made things clear. According to E! Online, the presumed bad separation was triggered with previous reports saying that the DJ stopped Ora from performing a song which he wrote and produced.
IBTimes recalls that the two started dating in May last year. They were linked together not just because of romance, but they shared the same passion in making music.
But then, they confirmed their break up last summer.
A month before their split, there were reports that Ora's inclusion in the highly anticipated "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie may have also contributed to their separation. A source told The Mirror that Calvin feels better off without someone who is not as highly involved in the industry as Rita, considering his high value for privacy.
Other speculated reasons behind their split was Ora's alleged "touchy" moments with Justin Bieber during a recording session, TMZ reports.
Moving on
Ora concentrated on her music career, recently appearing on a hit song, "Black Widow" with Iggy Azalea which Katy Perry co-wrote.
She also shared how she's maintaining her sexy physique, as shown in the magazine cover, thanking the positive mindset she is embracing more lately.
In addition, Ora is proud of her body and admits without hesitation that she thinks about sex.
"For me, sex is a form of getting to know a person - feeling someone's skin," she explained via Cosmopolitan.
The "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie set to be released on the big screen a day before Valentines Day 2015 has released its trailer that made a record breaking history on its own.
It stars Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele.
