WWE officials are commencing with plans for Wrestlemania 30, with several dream matches possibly in play for the company's biggest pay-per-view.

According to The Wrestling Observer, the WWE wants to sign Sting, whose contract with TNA/Impact Wrestling is up at the end of the year, and pit him against The Undertaker. Should the WWE not be able to sign Sting, the WWE will likely go with a match between The Undertaker versus Brock Lesnar. The company is also interested in signing Goldberg to face Ryback at Wrestlemania 30, but is prepared to go with The Big Show versus Ryback should the WWE be unable to sign the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion.

Goldust versus Cody Rhodes is another match being discussed, as is Daniel Bryan versus Shawn Michaels, despite denials by the WWE Hall of Famer saying he is not interested in returning to the ring. CM Punk may be put back in the title picture and get a shot Randy Orton's WWE Championship with John Cena defending his World Heavyweight Championship against the winner of the Royal Rumble. One match that will not happen is the return of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who was rumored to be facing Triple H at Wrestlemania. Tickets for Wrestlemania go on sale Friday.

Wade Barrett has been back in action during the WWE's tour of Europe and hopes to be in action in the U.S. very soon. Barrett, who has been off television for quite sometime due to legal issues with his visa, tweeted that he will be working with the company during their stops in Europe and hopes to fix his legal problems soon.

Evan Bourne is expected to return to the ring within the next 4-to-6 weeks. Bourne is looking to come back after getting into a car accident back in 2012 in which he broke his foot in four different places and dislocated in five other spots. The high-flying superstar will slowly make his way back to the roster - first being used in live events and house shows to get rid of the ring rust.

WWE has surprisingly cut Kassius Ohno, known to Ring of Honor and Combat Zone Wrestling as Chris Hero, from the NXT roster. Ohno, who signed with company in 2012, seemed to be on the fast-track towards the main roster until receiving heat from the company related to his weight, being kept off television for a while. Ohno did compete last Wednesday against The Wyatt's Luke Harper prior to his release.

Variety.com is reporting that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has signed on to play the lead in the movie adaptation of Not Without Hope, a memoir written by Nick Schuyler about four friends - Schuyler, Tampa Bay Buccaneer linebacker Marquis Cooper, former NFL defensive end Corey Smith, and University of Florida football player Will Bleakley - who went on a fishing trip in the Gulf of Mexico only to have the boat capsize, stranding the men at sea. The Rock will play Schuyler in the upcoming movie, saying, "I'm humbled that Relativity was interested in paying tribute to Marquis, Corey and Will, and I was impressed with their vision for the film and how they wanted to honor how these guys lived and loved their families, friends and teammates."

The Rock's Hollywood schedule has kept him busy, shooting Hercules and Fast & Furious 7 while working with Mark Wahlberg on an HBO project revolving around athletes in Miami.

Former WWE star Dave Batista, who has recently finished filming for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy movie, recently accompanied Nonito Donaire down the aisle prior to his boxing match against Vic Darchinyan. Donaire, who dedicated the fight to the memory of the victims of Super Typhoon Haiyan that hit his native Philippines, defeated Darchinyan via technical knockout in a dramatic ninth round of his 10-round match.
