The TLC network has canceled reality series "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," on Friday, Oct. 24, following published reports that June Shannon was involved with a man who was convicted of child molestation.
TMZ reported Thursday that June "Mama" Shannon, the mother of Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, a child beauty contestant, has reconciled with former flame Mark McDaniel, 53, convicted in 2004 for aggravated child molestation of an 8-year-old child related to Shannon.
The site further wrote that McDaniel, a registered sex offender in Georgia, was released March of this year after serving 10 years.
McDaniel and Shannon were reported to have been seeing each other for months with Mama June secretly meeting him between show productions. She is also believed to be showering Mark with tokens of affection.
"TLC is not currently in production on HERE COMES HONEY BOO BOO. We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series," commented a network official when contacted by the entertainment portal.
The site also released a photo of June with Mark taken weeks earlier in a hotel room where they were said to be together hanging out along with other people.
Shannon, 35, has denied all relations with the McDaniel via a video post on daughter Alana's Facebook page.
"Just got a phone call this morning from TLC, and as of right now there will be no more production of the show," said Shannon in the clip.
"The statement of me dating a sex offender is totally untrue" and further assured the everyone that she would never do anything that would put her kids in harms way. She claims that McDaniel is a part of her past and they have not seen each other in 10 years.
In another statement, the network told Us Magazine: "TLC has cancelled the series HERE COMES HONEY BOO BOO and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately. Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being."
The show ran for four seasons with a total of 51 episodes and few unreleased that will no longer be aired.
Shannon and her partner -- Mike "Sugar Bear" -- the father of Honey Boo Boo split in September. While they weren't legally wed, in May they exchanged vows in May with the involvement of Honey Boo Boo and her sisters., recalled Fox News.
