To promote their upcoming U.S. stadium tour, "On the Road Again," members of the boy band One Direction sported jerseys of city teams in Twitter announcement photos.

On Thursday, the very famous pop group announced that they will be coming back to the U.S. for a tour next year.

According to Fox Sports, changing team loyalty for their tour promotion is not a problem for the British-Irish group members Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.

One Direction will be playing in 15 NFL venues and their latest online campaign is a big way to entice big football fans to also anticipate their upcoming concerts.

USA Today said that the advertisement is aimed at increasing ticket sales by targeting millions of football fans in the United States. One could not say that they are more concerned with promoting the teams since they are not from the country but their fan base is definitely expanding.

Despite the eye-catching campaign, ESPN noticed that most of the promotional photos were Photoshop disasters and that Harry Styles would never even bother wearing his jersey.

A similar Forbes report mentioned that there will be a presale of tickets on Oct. 24 and a general sale on Nov. 1. It also added that the group will be touring a lot more places than they used to this coming 2015.

They will start touring North America on July 9, 2015 with a kickoff at the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego then it will end on Sept. 12 at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.

This upcoming concert is expected to be a big hit especially that the boy band has a huge following among young people not only in Europe but also all over the world. It can be remembered that they were only discovered by star maker Simon Cowell on The X Factor in the United Kingdom. They were individual contestants who were merged into a boy band.
