Kristen Stewart has just announced during a recent interview that she's "really happy" but also revealed she's about to take some time off after two years of working to explore other forms of art.
"I'm really happy right now, overly happy. I'm definitely not looking furtively - I like to look around at (stuff). I feel great. I'm not overcoming fear right now," said the 24-year-old actress during an interview with USA Today.
The actress is believed to be talking about the fear she felt when the truth about her affair with then-married director Rupert Sanders was made public. During that the the actress was dating her "Twilight" co-star Robert Pattinson.
She spoke about plans to buy an L.A. Studio to have the space to work on different art projects.
After wrapping up filming on her latest project, "Equals" with "X-Men" actor Nicholas Hoult, the "Camp X-Ray" actress revealed she's planning to take a hiatus from acting.
"I'm taking some time off because I've been working for two years. I'm an actor and that's my art form, and because I started that so young, I've always felt intimidated and insufficient when I think about other forms of art I want to create," revealed the young star.
"I'm going to buy a live-work space in downtown L.A. and I'm going to make some (stuff) with my hands. Literally, I made that decision a few weeks ago," admitted the actress. "I'm making a short film. I'm making a bunch of (stuff). I don't know how I'll put it out. But I'm not going to hold it so preciously close to me. I write all the time."
With no indication of how long her break will be, it puts in jeopardy the possibility of her taking on the role of Belle for Disney's "Beauty and The Beast" live-action film.
In an earlier report by Latino Post, it was mentioned that director Bill Condon was eyeing the "Twilight" actress to take the lead Disney princess role.
Although, there were reports that her commitment with Universal on "Snow White and The Huntsman" may make it difficult for her to land the book-loving Princess character, this hiatus may take Stewart out of the running..
More over, her age was also a concern cited by Hollywood Life. "By the time they make the film, it might be 2015 or 2016 and they think she'll be busy and they might go after somebody younger. Disney's thoughts are, the big name for the film should be devoted to the Beast so Kristen has a 50/50 chance to be Belle."
