Canadian musician Drake. 27, has a new track that was leaked onto Soundcloud by a high school student from Georgia. While it's unknown how the young person was able to access the track, StereoGum noted that the new single is "undeniably Drake and undeniably good."
The teen went on to claim that the track was an "exclusive leak" from Drizzy's upcoming album, "Views From The 6" but other sites are claiming the track could also be leftovers from "Nothing was the Same."
According to HypeTrack, the song "samples Jodeci's Diary of A Mad Band classic 'My Heart Belongs To You'" and although had the classic Drake vibe, didn't "mark any new ground for Drake."
In the beginning of the track, there's a voice mail that plays, seemingly an upset ex, whom the site notes sounds a lot like Nicki Minaj. Minaj and Drake recently worked with on "Anaconda" which sparked romance rumors between the two. This reality is fueling the speculations that it could be Minaj lending her voice to the track.
"That's what I'm talking about though, like you changed up. You don't even f**cking link nobody no more, you just dashing away like a Taxi. Yo, you cheesed me dog," said the woman.
This isn't the first leak linked to the said album. Hollywood Life recalls how a few weeks earier, the title track for the alleged Rihanna-inspired album wasleaked. Some believe the song is a direct discussion on his romance with the singer. The site wrote that in the shocking lyrics: "Drake confess that he "misses" RiRi on the track, but he also shares never-before-heard details about their steamy sex life, and the current status of their relationship!"
The "leak" comes after Drake's much talked about airball which he shot while with the University of Kentucky team during warm up. Drake, a big basketball fan who is particularly fond of the Wildcats team, was warming up with the team before a preseason game, unfortunately for the Toronto-native, ESPN was able to catch the moment Drake tossed his first shot that hit nothing but air.
SB Nation recalled how the Canadian called himself "Steph Curry with the shot," only to disappoint by throwing up a complete airball from the three-point line.
"We just saw Drake take a jump shot and he didn't even draw iron," said the announcer.
The internet had a field day with the footage. Hopefully, this alleged new track will take some heat off his basketball blooper.
Some users on Twitter didn't think the new leak was a coincidence, though. One member with the handle Sam Hood posted a tweet saying: "Drake had to drop a single to make up for that airball."
Have you listened to the track? What did you think?
