After it has been confirmed that director Paul Feig will be on board for the third "Ghostbusters" movie, fans are now curious about the cast of the alleged all-female film. 

In the recent episode of "The Ellen Show," Lena Dunham and Melissa McCarthy were both asked about the possibility of them being included in the upcoming movie.

According to CinemaBlend, it was somehow insinuated by the host that the "Tammy" actress has already signed up for the third movie installment. However, the comedienne has denied such speculations.

DeGeneres continuously insisted McCarthy's involvement only to be refuted again by the 44-year-old actress who said, "I'm not in!"

"Girls" star Lena Dunham was also asked of the same thing. The 28-year-old star of the funny indie movie "This is 40" replied, "I have to say, since I've heard that rumor I think every lady in town who fancies herself a jokester wants in," reported Eonline.

3. Mindy Kaling

Kaling's presence in the movie can potentially bring a new flavor to it. Actually, she once toyed with the idea of starring in it as outlined in her book, "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?" reported Vulture.

4. Rebel Wilson

If Melissa McCarthy won't be in the movie as speculated, then Wilson could be in it. She has worked with director Paul Feig in the past, in the movie "Bridesmaids."

The Hollywood A-lister is unlikely to be in such an ensemble but the presence of someone as big as Bullock could bring a lot of attention to the film. Besides, if McCarthy will be on board too, then it would be fun to see her reunite with Bullock and revive the side-splitting tandem as in the movie "The Heat."
