Previously, "Prometheus" director Ridley Scott announced via Screen Rant the progress of the sequel's screen play. According to the outlet, it is uncertain which progress comes to life as Jake Paglen's earlier "Prometheus 2" draft was reportedly taken over by Michael Green.
The script of the upcoming franchise seems to get the pressure. Its prequel, having a last-shooting script draft written by Damon Lindelof, was said to be heavily criticized.
For now, fans can be sure that "Prometheus 2" is gearing up to provide good story lines. Scott told Yahoo! Movies UK, "Right now, as we speak, it's being written... I've had 15 drafts evolving. I definitely want to do that again because I really enjoyed doing 'Prometheus.'"
The Guardian reported that Xenomorphs, depicted as slimy, monstrous creatures, were hinted by Scott to be out in the sequel. He said, "The beast is done. Cooked."
Who will be villains, then?
It seems "Prometheus" star Noomi Rapace has an idea. Playing the role of Elizabeth Shaw, she said on MTV, "God? Or the Devil? I don't know where [Scott] is going to take us, but I can't wait to go there. I don't know what we're going to discover."
Rapace talks about her character, "She can't go to Earth... There's nothing left for her there really. She wants to go where they came from, those creatures [the Engineers]... so what's there? I don't know."
Although Rapace appeared to be a little uncertain, those who've seen "Prometheus" can infer who will probably take the evil side. We Got This Covered wrote about how the first film ended, suggesting that Engineers have created human beings -- therefore, they could be deities -- who can be gods and demons.
The second installment is set to hit the big screen on March 4, 2016, according to Total Film. Along with Rapace, members of the cast include Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Logan Marshall-Green, Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Benedict Wong, Emun Elliot, Guy Pearce and Patrick Wilson.
For the meantime, fans can feast on legit "Prometheus" movie props. According to Scified, Prop Store has hosted an online auction on Oct. 16. Among the items listed are Meredith Vickers' Hero Escape Pod, Stunt Flamethrower, "Engineer" Ampule Set and a Full-Size Sleep Pod.
"Prometheus 2" follows its 2012 predecessor "Prometheus," which was a prequel to Scott's 1979 sci-fi film, "Alien." Scified mentioned in another report that the director is also preparing for "The Martian," which stars Matt Damon.
