The newest trailer for the third installment of "The Hunger Games" franchise has just been released and it focuses on the return of Katniss Everdeen -- played by Jennifer Lawrence -- to District 12.
The minute-long official preview released Wednesday is subtitled, "Return to District 12." The clip highlights the experience of Katniss as she sees what the Capitol did to her native District.
As the trailer begins, the voice of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman who plays Plutarch Heavensbee says: "No one else can do this but her."
"She won't be able to handle it. The Games destroyed her," responded President Alma Coin, brought to life by franchise newcomer Julianne Moore.
"Make it personal for her, let her see what the Capitol did to District 12," continued Heavensbee.
In the background, a somber track by Lorde, "Yellow Flick Beat" plays while the footage shows a completely destroyed District 12 with only the Victor's Village having been spared.
According to E! News, following the events of the first two films, "President Snow (Donald Sutherland) views Katniss as public enemy No. 1 due to her defiant act in the first Hunger Games competition, an annual event in which teen and pre-teen 'tributes' are chosen from 12 districts to fight to the death-and be filmed doing it for TV. The heroine has inspired a rebellion and is dubbed by supporters as a 'mockingjay.'"
For those who followed the story and read the books, Katniss' mission to District 12 ignites her passion to fight as she sees her home in complete shambles. The trailer shows Everdeen at her home collecting her belongings and there she sees a personal message from President Snow in the form of a vase of dead flowers.
In the middle of the flowers was a single fresh white rose symbolizing the recent presence of Snow. As Katniss examines the flower ever so slowly, the trailer ends.
The film is based on the best-selling popular novels of writer Suzanne Collins. The video description noted that in Part 1, we will see "Katniss Everdeen in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage."
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1" is set for release on Nov. 21. While the second installment will be unveiled a year later, Nov. 2015.
