Jay Leno revs up to return to TV through a new CNBC prime time show, "Jay Leno's Garage," confirms CNBC.

The show's title is still tentative though, but it's been confirmed that it will feature the former "The Tonight Show" host's massive car collection and his passion on anything that involves automotive.

"This show will be about anything that rolls, explodes, and makes noise," Leno said in the CNBC article. "We hope to highlight the passion and the stories behind the men and women who made the automobile the greatest invention of the 20th century."

The show is set to air on 2015 and according to Boston will feature the comedian's classic and modern cars. "The hour-long show will be a forum for Leno to share his passion for ''all things automotive,'' the article stated, ''including best investments, valuations and the inner workings of the car collector's market."

The precise date and airtime of the show, which is based on Leno's Emmy-award winning web series entitled "Jay Leno's Garage: The Ultimate Car Week," are yet to be announced.

His web series, which premiered on NBC back in August, served as his first return to hosting after departing "The Tonight Show." Leno, 64, hosted the show for 22 years (from 1992-2009) and was since replaced by Jimmy Fallon. His web series has more than 1 million subscribers on YouTube worldwide.

"Jay will add tremendous star power and exceptional content to CNBC's prime time at the perfect time," said network president Mark Hoffman in the Boston article.

"CNBC at night has real momentum and Jay's personality, tremendous fan base and his passion for the subject will contribute mightily to our burgeoning primetime. We're really excited Jay will continue his storied career with the NBC family and with us at CNBC," he added.

Leno owns about 130 cars and 92 motorcycles, according to a report from Today. He also has a 3D printer which helps him create car parts that are not available anymore for the vehicles.
