Nokia Lumia 1520 Release Date, Camera Specs: Nokia (NOK) Releases Performance Videos Recorded by Lumia 1520 Windows Phone 8 Smartphone [Videos]

Ahead of its launch, Nokia has released a video promoting its latest Windows Phone 8 smartphone - the Nokia Lumia 1520.

The Nokia video features a live performance by Niila while utilizing six Lumia 1520 smartphones.

For the video, a Lumia 1520 device was placed at the center of the singer to record the performance audio; the other Lumia 1520 smartphones were placed at different angles.

The video starts with a disclaimer by Nokia, stating, "To get the full experience, plug in your headphones and enjoy."

Nokia asks, "Can you hear how directional mics work?"

The entire video was filmed with the Lumia 1520 but was edited with Audio Premiere. Nokia noted no adjustments were made to enhance audio quality.

Nokia also released a behind-the-scenes video of Niila's performance of the song "Bottle of Wine," which was also recorded by the Lumia 1520.

The Lumia 1520 features a screen size of 6 inches with 1,920x1,080 resolution. The camera specifications for the device include a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera and a front-facing camera with 1.2 megapixels. The Lumia 1520 will only be available in a 32GB internal storage model, even though the Microsoft Store has a 16GB variant. The device has 2GB of RAM and offers a microSD card slot for an additional 64GB of storage.

The battery capacity for the Lumia 1520 stands at 3,400mAh, which offers up to 25.1 hours for talk time in a 3G network, and approximately 780 hours on standby.

In regards to the Lumia 1520's release date, the Windows Phone 8 device could launch in the U.S. on Nov. 22, according to a report by WPCentral.
