Different Hollywood power couples have their own way of debunking pregnancy rumors. For some, they completely ignore the news, while others address it head on. Celebrity same-sex couple Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres chose a more entertaining way of doing it

According to E! News, the wives took to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to tackle the baby rumors.

"I know everything about you, obviously, so we had viewers write questions," said the 56-year-old daytime host on Tuesday. "One of the main things that everybody is asking me about, and asking you about, and I thought I would let you clear it up, is If we're having a baby or not? So, I thought maybe you should answer that question."

Portia even showed a tabloid magazine up for audiences saying the former "Ally McBeal" actress was with child. "Did you see? It says, 'They're finally starting a family!' Are people really that mad at us?" asked the "Scandal" star.

Fans of the happy couple have waited eagerly for the pair to grow their family and the comedian quipped, "We've waited way too long. They want us to have a baby."

And when the 41-year-old de Rossi said it once and for all, "Yeah, so um, no."

De Rossi, born Amanda Rogers, also described her brother's experience calling to ask if the rumors were true and if he was going to be an uncle.

"My brother called me and said, 'I heard I'm gonna be an uncle?'" said de Rossi.

"There was a tiny little question in the word 'uncle,' because he didn't know. But he's not gonna read it on the cover of a tabloid."

Ellen had her own story to add about her own assistant who heard the rumor as well and asked DeGeneres if she was hiding big news from him.

"Everyone assumes we really are having a baby and we're just not sharing it," said the host.

"But we're not having a baby...or are we?" joked DeGeneres. Seriously, she said, "No, we're not."

The rumors of the pregnancy began a few months back when word around Tinseltown was that the iconic couple's marriage was on the rocks. Reports surfaced that the blonde beauty's pregnancy was her final attempt to save her marriage with DeGeneres.

Amid rumors of substance abuse and infidelity, per the Inquisitr, de Rossi has always expressed her desire to have children while Ellen has not.

"The truth of the matter is, the baby wasn't an attempt to save the relationship. Ellen felt that because of the change they had both made, they were already in a good place. She told Portia that she feels a baby is a missing piece of their puzzle, and would unite them forever," wrote Classicalite via the Inquisitr.
