The Ebola virus scare seems to not just have threatened the country but also the cast and crew of the upcoming superhero movie "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."
According to Batman News, the latest rumors about the movie are saying that the cast and crew might head to New Mexico instead as a replacement location for what was originally set to be Africa.
Further proof of this speculation emerged through a casting call for extras shared on the New Mexico Film Office site. It mentions several information in the description list that somehow fits the "Man of Steel" sequel's picture.
First off, the mention of a needed African village recreation scene can serve as a slight validation of the rumor. Then there's the timeline that says shooting in the New Mexico location will start mid November, making it still on time of the production timeframe as the "Batman vs Superman" movie team finishes work in Chicago.
Other details in the casting notice for the paid extras include a rate of $100/person each day for eight hours, hotel and meal accommodation for those who will be coming from the outer regions, and above all, each must be legal to work in the country.
There was also news of one of the movie's crew members John Dugan uploading an Instagram post coincidentally referencing to the New Mexico location rumors of the film.
However, the post has now been taken down and is unavailable, making fans wonder if it could really be true. The move is seen as something to maintain the confidentiality of the superhero movie.
Before the flight and after the flight, Dugan wrote the captions on his social media account, as quoted by Batman News:
"Next location here we go, flyin with pops! See ya Detroit.. Hello New Mexico ! #studiolife #local755 #detroit #atlanta #elpaso #newmexico #flyinghigh"
"New Mexican sunrise #studiolife #local755 #batmanvssuperman #newmexico #sunrise"
Fansided wrote that the hashtags were all giveaway proofs that the New Mexico location rumors are true.
The confirmed cast members of the movie include Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, and Jeremy Irons as Bruce Wayne's assistant Alfred among many others.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will hit the big screen on March 25, 2016 but no trailer has been officially released yet.
