The 34-year-old singer took a leave from her coaching throne and was temporarily replaced by equally good artists like Shakira and "No Doubt" singer, Gwen Stefani.
Aguilera got engaged to Matt Rutler on Valentine's Day of this year. She welcomed her second child, Summer Rain Rutler in August. Her first child with ex hubby Jordan Bratman is now a 6-year-old boy.
The "Beautiful" hitmaker will join two of the original "The Voice" U.S. coaches, Blake Shelton and Maroon 5 front man, Adam Levine along with "Happy" singer, Pharrell Williams, stated Access Hollywood.
In a statement, Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming at NBC Entertainment, said, "We are excited to welcome Christina back to her red chair and can't wait to see how she mixes things up among Adam, Blake and Pharrell, in what will be an incredibly competitive competition. These four talented artists are at the top of their game as musicians and as coaches. The mentoring is sure to be intense and the stakes will be high."
According to USA Today, the popular show reaches an average of 13 million viewers in the seventh season alone. It seems that the show's usual strategy to rotate coaches, with only Shelton and Levine retaining their spots, is working.
Other coaches that were also a part of the show, apart from Gwen and Shakira, include RnB artist Usher and CeeLo Green.
The current season of the hit show is in its Battle Rounds stage with several mentors on board to assist the successful "The Voice" hopefuls, E! Online noted. They are, Gavin Rossdale, Stevie Nicks, Alicia Keys and Little Big Town.
Taylor Swift will head the mentoring task for all teams when the Knockout Round of the show comes around the bend.
Upon Aguilera's return, many of her fans are hoping that the coach will finally have a future champion in her team.
Shelton has already won three times, Levine got two titles while Usher joined the ranks with a single win.
During the fifth season though, Aguilera's team finalist, Jacquie Lee ranked second.
"The Voice" season 7 currently airs via NBC every Mondays and Tuesdays, at 8 p.m.
