On the heels of rumors that Daisy Ridley and Max von Sydow will join the cast members of the upcoming "Star Wars Episode 7" is news that Adam Driver will also be starring as a villain.

Von Sydow has been speculated to play a key character in the J.J. Abrams flick. On the other hand, Daisy Ridley will reportedly portray a certain "Kira", said BadAssDigest.

And now, the "Girls" star will allegedly play a new villain character in the latest installment of the classic sci-fi hit, according to a fellow actor.

It was Joel Edgerton who apparently spilled the beans about the recent "Star Wars" casting during an MTV interview. The two worked together for a new movie titled "Felony."

The Aussie actor explained that he heard about Driver getting cast as an unnamed antagonist in the new movie a day before they had to work together for a scene.

According to CinemaBlend, if there's any truth to Edgerton's statement, then Driver's speculated part should have something to do with the Force.

This could be the case Edgerton described his role in the interview saying, "The next day I had to do a scene with him after I read this. I said I'm scared to do this scene with you now because you might [Force choke me]."

As long as Driver's supposed villain role remains a rumor, then any role is possible for the 30-year-old actor. This means he could also play a wicked X-Wing pilot or a Count Dooku descendant.

Whichever character he ends up acting out, Driver is sure to give the film justice as much as he did roles in past movies.

Aside from garnering attention from his highlighted role in HBO's hit show "Girls," his knack for great acting was is also evident in films like "Lincoln" and "Inside Llewyn Davis" among many others.

For now, the confirmed "Star Wars Episode 7" cast includes Harrison Ford, Andy Serkis, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Oscar Isaac, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, John Boyega and a lot more.

Despite the lack of an official trailer at the moment, the "Star Wars Episode 7" movie is set to hit the big screen next year, with a release date set on December 18, 2015.
