Apple is expected to unveil two new iPads -- iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 ---, a Macbook and OSX Yosemite this week (Oct. 16, 2014) at an event it will host on its campus in Cupertino, California. Instead of the performing arts center that was the site of September's iPhone and Apple Watch event, the Town Hall auditorium at their Infinite Loop facility will be used instead.

The invitations for the event (pictured below) have already been sent out to the press. The event will be this Thursday, the 16th, and--like always--will kick off at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. You can watch the event live on Apple's site, but you must be on an iOS device or be using Apple's Safari browser.

iPads

The invitations to the event include the tagline: "It's been way too long," which could be a reference to more than one hardware or software updates expected to be announced at the event. New versions of the iPad Air, iPad mini with retina display and a new Mac are all thought to be part of Apple's presentation later this week.

Based on leaks, the iPad Air 2 is expected to be thinner, have an updated A8 processor, Touch ID support, a better camera, a higher resolution display and a new gold color option. The iPad mini update is expected to share most, if not all of the iPad Air 2's updgrades.

Macs

While nothing is confirmed, many expect a new 12-inch MacBook with Retina display and a new iMac to be announced. A Mac mini could also be revealed but is still a long shot for this event. Apple is rushing to finish OSX Yosemite, as it will most likely launch with these new devices. If Apple holds with the trend of previous years, OSX Yosemite could be available in the App Store on Thursday, the same day the new hardware is announced.

Other Announcements

It's also expected that Apple will launch Apple Pay by the end of this month, so there's a chance they could spend some time Thursday going over that platform in more detail. There's also iOS 8.1 coming out soon, which also could see some screen time during the presentation. It's also reasonable to expect an update on the Apple Watch and perhaps some figures on its battery life and details about exactly how much each model will cost.
