Rumors continue to circulate that Hulk Hogan has made a verbal agreement to return to the WWE.
According to reports, Hogan, who was previously working with TNA wrestling, has agreed to return to the company but has yet to sign a Legends deal such as Brock Lesnar's and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Some believe Hogan may be a surprise participant in the Royal Rumble match while others believe he may have a match at Wrestlemania 30.
Daniel Bryan's run at the WWE Title seems to have come to an end, with the WWE now focusing on a Big-Show Randy Orton feud while Bryan has been inserted into a feud with The Wyatts along with CM Punk. Bryan may be reinserted into the title picture as Wrestlemania 30 gets closer.
Speaking of Wrestlemania 30, rumors are being floated around to a possible title versus title match at the April 6th pay-per-view. Despite the fact the WWE is trying to bring back prestige to the World Heavyweight Championship, with John Cena now holding the championship at the momemnt, the title has always been considered second tier compared to the WWE Championship.
WWE COO Triple H has announced this week that Kane will be the new Director of Operations for the organization. Kane came out to ringside in a suit and tie during the 4-on-1 Handicap main event match on the last Monday Night Raw between the Big Show against Randy Orton and The Shield, directing traffic as The Authority's minions decimated the Big Show. Triple H told Michael Cole that Kane's role in the company will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Rey Mysterio could be out of action until 2014, according to the Miami Herald, with the WWE front office informing Mysterio that he should not come back until he is 100 percent fit to return. Mysterio briefly returned to action while the WWE was touring in Mexico, teaming up with Sin Cara against Wade Barrett and Alberto Del Rio. Mysterio also made an appearance in a house show in Tupelo, Miss., helping R-Truth out when he was attacked by Del Rio after their No-Disqualification match.
While the WWE has expressed that they are not interested in signing TNA stars such as AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, or Bobby Roode, as the company goes through its financial issues, one person the company may bring back is Matt Morgan. Reports say that Triple H and Vince McMahon would rather focus on developing their talent through the WWE Performance center, but do have interest in Morgan returning to the company as well as signing Sting, should he become a free agent.
The WWE has signed Olympic wrestler Chas Betts to a development deal and started training in the WWE Performance Center this week. Betts was a member of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Greco-Roman wrestling team. WWE is also in talks with New Japan Pro Wrestling IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion Prince Devitt. PWInsider.com reports that both sides are interested in working with each other and have had discussions about signing the New Japan Pro star to the company. Ring of Honor (ROH) stars Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards also recently received a tryout at the WWE Performance Center, with some in the locker room pushing for the company to sign the duo. However, reports say that Triple H feels he has signed enough indy talent and wants to focus on finding "larger than life" wrestlers to mix up the roster.
