How much will Manny Pacquiao earn from his Macau bout with Chris Algieri on Nov. 22? Top Rank Promotions chief executive Bob Arum knows--and it's a big sum.

Arum, in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN's "Balitang America", confirmed that the boxer's fight will add no less than $20 million to his bank account.

"Manny's purse, from various sources, is guaranteed to be not less than $20 million," he told the report, adding that "what Chris is getting, that's up to his promoter, but I'm paying him $2.75 million."

In the report, Arum also assured fans that the tussle for the WBO welterweight title at the Cotai Arena in the Venetian "should be a great fight."

Algieri, unbeaten, with 20 wins--eight from knockouts--might come off as innocent guy, but he managed to upset Ruslan Provodnikov on June 14 for the WBO junior welterweight title. Since the unanimous decision even as his right eye was shut, everyone wanted a piece of the 30-year-old, The New York Daily News said.

"We have never had, in my time in boxing, anybody like a Chris Algieri... This kid is mentally so tough that he's going to present a real puzzle for Manny," Arum told the report.

"I think with his looks, background, the sky is the limit for him... If he wins, you're looking at another Oscar De La Hoya," said his promoter Joe DeGuardia, as quoted by The New York Daily News. All that hangs on a win against Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38 knockouts).

Pacquiao, 35, The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported, is not going to make it easy.

"We are training him for more head movements, more punching combinations and a non-stop assault," assistant trainer and coach Robert Fernandez said in the report. "Our fighting congressman will chase him wherever he goes. Then try to throw three to five punching combinations to the head and body."

Right now, however, Boxing News 24 is thinking Pacquiao is underestimating his opponent.

Pacquiao seems more focused on a Floyd Mayweather Jr. megafight than on the matchup with Algieri, the report said, explaining that Pacquiao had only a few words when asked about Algieri.

The last thing the Filipino should do is overlook Algieri, it commented. He is tall, brainy and has a boxing style that might be hard for the more senior boxer to adjust to, it explained.

Arum echoed the concern in the ABS-CBN interview: "I hope Manny is gonna train very, very hard for this fight, because Algieri has the size advantage... He is a very intelligent kid, and he moves very well."

"After I beat Manny, I'll have a lot more pull and juice in the negotiations," Algieri told The New York Daily News, referring to his share in matches.

"Hey, this is operation-retire-a-legend," he joked.
