For those who were eager enough to watch the Breaking Bad marathon this weekend in its entirety, there was a special surprise peak at the end of the epic show's new spinoff series, Better Call Saul. From what we've learned, the new show takes place while Walter White was still teaching chemistry and was busy hating life. The music video didn't answer too many finite questions, but what can be gathered is that Saul is even more of a weasel then previously suspected.

There are only two actual scenes that appear in the music video performed by Junior Brown. Brown's low deep voice gives the video a heavy country feel along with the freedom that only New Mexico brings. We can only speculate that the series will take place in New Mexico, but to be truthful, it is unclear how Saul ever came to end up in such a place.

Junior Brown's song features a slew of scenarios that detail a wide variety of illegal acts that could result in the suspect needing to "call Saul" while they are getting arrested. The initial story is that of a DUI, but then the song continues to dive deeper in the crime world. Vandalism and even murder for insurance money are all mentioned, which could be a possible hint to what kinds of cases viewers can expect in the show's first season.

Saul is a complex character because he works so closely with the law that he has learned how to manipulate and bend it. For every courtroom scene there could just as easily be a mirrored illegal scene where Saul is making a deal with whatever new villains will be introduced.

Aside from his possible moral shortcomings, Saul was always loyal to Walter White in Breaking Bad, and viewers never forgot everything he did for White. Naturally, Saul was paid for his services, but when a lengthy stint in prison hangs in the balance, one has to assume that at heart Saul really liked Walter.

AMC is set to air Better Call Saul in February of 2015. Although not a single viewer has seen any footage of the new series, it has already been renewed to come back for a second season. Only time will tell, however, if the spinoff can master the same brilliance that Breaking Bad was able to.
