Dallas Cowboys' Tony Romo was unstoppable on Sunday night during his team's win over the Houston Texans.
The 34-year-old quarterback made a few spectacular moments during the game which helped the team seal the 20-17 victory.
CBS Sports said that Romo was able to make a long touchdown pass despite being strongly guarded by Texans' defensive end, J.J. Watt. He was also aided by his teammate, Dez Bryant, who made a game-saving catch during overtime. This move sparked the 49-yard field goal of Dan Bailey which won it for the Cowboys who enjoyed an early lead but lost it in the middle of the game.
Romo said that that they had to "go down and basically win the game twice."
''You just put your work hat on and go out and execute,'' he told CBS Sports.
Bryant, on the other hand, said that that the team just had to come down with it and seal their victory. But Romo was a hero on Sunday's game as he outrun Watt who was a few inches a way from him before throwing as far as he could, CBS Sports added.
''Certainly it's one for the ages with Romo. There's a handful of those he's had throughout his career, and I think you can add that one to the list,'' coach Jason Garrett said.
Yahoo Sports said in a report that the Cowboys' fourth victory in a row can be attributed to the team's overall strong performance although it said that the Texans were also beaming with confidence that they can take home a win when they edged closer to the score of the Cowboys.
The team reportedly still needs to improve on their performance and consistency in their games to be able to sustain their straight wins. The Cowboys have also displayed a strong offensive side despite Watt's effort to stop them.
In a report, Dallas News said that the fighting spirit of the Cowboys were also made stronger by the shouts of the visiting Texans fans who seemed to have outnumbered their supporters at the home court.
"I was a little bit surprised by the number of Houston fans. Today we played on the road. We had to go to a silent count, and that was the first time I had to do that throughout the game at home," Romo told Dallas News.
He added that the team needs to "do a better job as a team, as a fan base."
"[This is] to make sure how big of a difference playing at home is. I think going forward I'm going to press the issue. We just need to tighten up on selling our tickets," he added.
After winning against the Texans, the next agenda for the Cowboys is to prepare for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks at the CenturyLink Field in Washington.
