Former Chelsea defender Khalid Boulahrouz could have had a void in his heart when he and his missus separated in January 2013 but, not too long afterwards, he's got a smoking hot number filling in.

Boulahrouz's ex-wife Sabia left him last year and moved on with Rafael van der Vaart, a former Holland teammate, but—not to be outdone—he is now reportedly dating Miss Netherlands 2014 Yasmin Verheijen, Sports World News said.

This might be the silver lining to the booter's rather dark lovelife, the Daily Mail said, with the player revealing on Wednesday that the 32-year-old bounced back with a woman 12 years his junior, and among the most desirable women in the Netherlands at that.

According to the same report, the pair have been together for some time now and Boulahrouz might be flying to the venue of the Miss Universe pageant with his new love, per the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

Boulahrouz, who stands 5'9", now plays for Dutch Eredivisie club Feyenoord. According to Sky Sport, he is held in high regard by international colleagues, explaining that he is named "Khalid der Kannibale" (Khalid the Cannibal) for being able to "eat up the opposition."

He debuted with RKC in 2002, then went to Germany in 2004, the report added. From 2006 to 2008, he was with Chelsea, Sports World News said. He saw action in international competition from 2004 to 2012, joining the Dutch national squad for a pair of World Cup outings and another pair of European Championship editions.

Boulahrouz has a daughter and a son with his former beau, Amaya (born 2010) and Daamin (born 2011), the report added.

Meanwhile, Verheijen is training to be a decorator. She is an Amsterdam native of German, Indian, Chinese and Hindu descent, Sports World News said.

According to Missosology, she was crowned Miss Netherlands Universe in December, 19 years of age, side by side with Tatjana Maul, a 25-year-old from the Hague, who took home the Miss Netherlands World title.
