Rewarding good deeds does not happen often these days. But it is rarer to hear of people paying a not so good experience with more kindness, just like the story of trending couple Steven and Makenzie Schultz.

The story of goodness shared by the married couple over Facebook made a lot of buzz online when they gave a hundred dollar tip to a waiter despite getting unpleasant service.

It was Makenzie who explained their experience on Facebook. She recalled her restaurant experience along with a photo of their receipt from the Kazoku sushi restaurant.

According to her, they had to wait for an unusually longer time for their meals to be served. Makenzie added that other people in the establishment were also talking about the restaurant's poor service quality.

However, despite having to wait long for their water, appetizer and entrée to be served, Makenzie and her hubby still agreed on giving the server a considerable amount of tip: a $100 dollar bill!

The reason behind their act of kindness is reportedly the couple's complete understanding of the scenario. The couple believed that they were served late due to the lack of staff--not due to the incompetence of the server, reported US Magazine.

Instead of venting out their frustration on the only server for having a not so ideal anniversary date, the good mannered couple empathized with the waiter and paid back all his hard work and patience.

According to their interview with Today, Makenzie even thinks that the one hundred dollar tip may not be the biggest the waiter could get, but it's one way they thought of in making his hectic night a breeze.

She also made it clear that her post was not to gain any online recognition for their deliberate deed of kindness done during their sixth anniversary night as a couple. Their intention was to remind everyone of two nuggets of wisdom: first, to avoid judging impulsively in the midst of adverse situations and second, to practice humility in never forgetting how you started before your life became much better in time.

The couple's posted photo of the receipt has garnered around 1.5 million Facebook likes and counting.
