After suffering an ankle injury during Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, Minnesota Vikings quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater, will reportedly go back to the field soon and play again.

This was after his X-rays revealed negative results in relation to the left ankle injury he sustained during the game's fourth quarter. A Yahoo Sports report said that Bridgewater was carted off to the locker room after he rolled up his ankle on Falcons' Kroy Biermann. He was replaced by Christian Ponder during the last seven minutes of the game.

It was earlier noted by Vikings coach, Mike Zimmer, that their quarterback's X-rays yielded negative results but he is still set to undergo an MRI. Zimmer did not give a sure answer if Bridgewater will participate on Thursday's game against the Green Bay Packers.

"I assume he's going to play. ... Teddy's pretty dang tough," the Vikings coach said in a USA Today article.

Bridgewater's injury, according Bleacher Report, is something that the Vikings should be concerned of especially that the player is considered to be a very vital part of the team's success.

The report noted that the Vikings' quarterback is blessed with football potential though durability has always been his biggest concern since his term at Louisville. He also sustained numerous injuries in the past years including a broken wrist and a sprained ankle.

But despite this, it seemed like Bridgewater lived through his pains as Yahoo Sports said that he did "very well" in his previous games recording 319 passing yards, 27 rushing yards and a touchdown.

A separate USA Today report discussed how Bridgewater provided his team hope with their recent victory against the Falcons.

"I think it sets the bar pretty high. But coach Norv Turner, he always talks about playing a week better, playing better than the week before. So, for me, I just have to try to continue to build off the momentum I have and not get outside of myself or out of my character," Bridgewater told USA Today.

The Vikings can only hope that Bridgewater can go back to playing soon especially that their veteran quarterback Matt Cassel will not be able to play for the rest of the season due to a broken foot. The team should also hope that his ankle injury will not be able to affect his mobility during the game as it is a very important part the play.

But it seems that the quarterback's condition is getting better already with Bridgewater claiming that he is already feeling good. "Didn't finish the game the way I wanted to end it, but I'm feeling good right now. I'm able to stand in front of you all on my own, so I'm feeling pretty good," he added.
