The Los Angeles Dodgers are officially the NL West champions and in celebration of their heroic season, we've assembled some of our favorite plays throughout the year. The Dodgers appear to be well suited for making a long playoff with their outstanding pitching and ability to drive in runs when it really counts.

Since Clayton Kershaw pitched Wednesday night, he will be set to start off the playoffs in the first pitching slot. This will be extremely important if the Dodgers are to make a deep run. While they may not have the best record in the NL, for the first time in years the Dodgers are being given a real shot to go all the way.

Most baseball critics do not trust the Washington Nationals or Pittsburgh Pirates. It appears the only foreseeable threat for the Dodgers will be the St. Louis Cardinals whose late season run helped solidify them in the playoffs. Unlike most teams the Cardinals always turn up the heat when it comes to playoff time.

Josh Becket No Hitter

Since coming over from the Boston Red Sox a couple seasons ago, Josh Beckett has been anything but special. His constant injuries have been a drain on the team, so when he threw a no hitter it really took Los Angeles by storm. This ladies and gentlemen is the Josh Beckett you've been waiting for.

Clayton Kershaw

In route to a potential MVP nod, Kershaw pitched an amazing 15 strikeout no hitter, which was one error away from being a perfect game. Although Ramirez must still feel terrible about his foul up, the result is still suiting for Kershaw.

Puig Drop Then Double Up

While he may drive us crazy most of the time Yassiel Puig is lightening in a bottle. Initially he dropped this routine fly ball, as Vin Scully could hardly believe the words he was saying. Puig then quickly recovered and gunned the ball to second securing the force out.

Puig Has Wings

Its always dangerous when fly balls seem to settle in between two outfielders who are charging as hard they possibly can. On this gap shot Puig literally flies out of nowhere as Matt Kemp was charging hard.

Kemp Battles Wind

A diving backhand might not look the prettiest, but fundamentally speaking it is an extremely difficult play to make. Matt Kemp turned on the jets and was able to rob Tim Hudson of a sure hit.
