Warner Bros. is believed to be planning a "Beauty and the Beast" live action movie to star "Harry Potter" celeb Emma Watson. While the exact details of the movie have yet to be announced, MoviePlot has compiled it's own list of possible dads for lead female character, Belle.

One of the actors the site suggested to play the role of Maurice was "Ghostbusters" actor Bill Murray.

"Physically, this is just a bit of a stretch, as Murray would have to gain weight for this... but I can't think of anyone else currently alive that could fill this role like he could. Along with being an incredible comedian, he's also a great actor, and can bring the loving, but slightly off-kilter inventor to life very well. Plus... that 'stache! Oh, and they're both totally party animals," said the entertainment site. 

It was reported earlier by Latino Post that Warner Bros. has cast Emma Watson for the book-loving princess role with Guillermo del Toro initally set to direct.

"It's one of those landmarks, one of those holy grails, and I really hope to do it," quoted MTV of del Toro on the project. 

As for the director's vision for the movie, MTV reported that del Toro wants to stay true to the essence of the original Disney story. Unlike other remakes that have modernized the story, "consider del Toro's movie to be a classic retelling of the tale as old as time. He confirmed that his version will take place in the same period setting as the fairy tale," explained the website.

CinemaBlend noted how the project has been in the pipeline for a long time and due to conflicts in schedule, del Toro has withdrawn but Watson is said to still be interested in the role.

While he may not be taking the lead in the flick, due to other commitments, Deadline wrote that the famed director will still be involved. "He wrote the script, and he's producing the film with Denise DiNovi," explained the site in the exclusive report.

With the stalled production of Warner Bros., Disney has went ahead and is said to be planning their own live-action staring "Equals" actress Kristen Stewart.

HollywoodLife noted how director Bill Condon took notice of the excellent portrayal of Stewart in "Snow White and The Huntsman" and is looking at the "Twilight" star to take on her second Disney princess role. 

"The process and the script for the movie are still in the beginning stages but as it fleshes out, Bill Condon has definitely thought of Kristen Stewart as a possible Belle," revealed an insider to HollywoodLife.com.

However, this is not set in stone as the project maybe two-three years down the line "and they think she'll be busy and they might go after somebody younger," continued the source.

No definite release date has been pegged for both films.
