Katy Perry, who is leading the nominations for this year's MTV EMA kissed this One Direction singer two years ago at the VMAs - on the lips.

Now, the "Dark Horse" singer and Harry Styles are making news again after being spotted leaving a restaurant, although, not at the same time. Hollywood Life reported an unnamed source who spilled the beans: "Yes, Katy Perry and Harry Styles had dinner together at Nobu in Malibu late Thursday night. Just the two of them."

The source added, "They seemed happy, smiling and enjoying their dinner and conversation. They arrived separately and left separately. They looked like good friends and did a lot of talking."

Yet Gossip Cop cited another source who rejected the claims, "There's no truth...They just happened to be in the same place at the same time."

It can be recalled that Styles previously dated Swift. On the other hand, the "Shake it Off" singer is not in good terms with Perry, as some reports claim. Guardian Liberty Voice has also cited singer John Mayer whom Swift dated in 2010 while Perry dated him in 2012, after divorcing with Russell Brand.

This rumored dinner date might have something to do with revenge, reports say. The speculations started when Swift wrote "Bad Blood," a song featured in her "1989" album, allegedly about Perry. In her interview with Rolling Stones, Swift said, "For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not." She mentioned that this artist would come at her on award shows to say something and walk away, leaving her puzzled on the other's true intent.

Swift cleared that the issue is not between guys; rather, it was business-related. She shared how the other artist dealt with her, "She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational - you would not believe how much I hate conflict."

Perhaps, as a response, Perry posted this tweet: "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing..." Speculations spread that the singer was referring back to Swift. Regina George is the Queen Bee character from the 2004 film, "Mean Girls."

Meanwhile, Daily Mail has reported on "Royals" singer Lorde, who was photographed hanging out with Ellie Goulding and Perry - yet she seemed to be one of Swift's closest friends. The two had appeared in many photographs over the months, even attending a cooking class together in Rhode Island. So, are Lorde and Swift having a feud, too? 

One thing is certain, though. Swift and Perry are going to battle for Best Female Artist in this year's MTV EMA, along with Ariana Grande, Beyonce and Nicki Minaj.
