So, imagine waiting in line for days and hours in order to be one of the first people in the world to purchase a new iPhone 6. You get outside of the store and there are news cameras and a reporter asks if they can see your brand new iPhone 6. It's understandable that the average person would be excited and perhaps nervous in that situation, which could lead to jittery hands. And jittery hands, as we all know, do not mix well with new iPhones when held 4 feet above a concrete floor.

Imagine dropping your brand new iPhone 6 that you waited so long for and just threw down a ton of cash for in front of that reporter and news cameras AND infront of the huge line outside the Apple Store. Tragic comedy, right?

Well, apparently that exact thing happened to one unlucky new iPhone 6 owner in Australia. Check out the video below.

The crowd's audible gasp and moans can be heard as the guy desperately trys to scrape his tarnished phone off of the ground. If you listen, you can hear him say "still good," though it's hard to make out if there was any obvious physical damage to the phone. 

Apple may want to rethink their packaging of iPhones. Clearly this guy was nervous and was holding the box at an angle, but if you spend $600+ on a new phone, you shouldn't have to worry about it exploding out of the box the moment you open it. Hopefully he bought some sort of insurance policy on the phone. Yikes.

The good news is that his new earbuds and phone charger were safely packaged at the bottom of the box, which prevented them from also flying out of the packaging unexpectedly and potentially being ruined. 

No word on whether or not this guy's phone still works or if he immediately went home and curled up into a fetal position and started crying uncontrollably, but the safe bet is that he did.
