Former NFL player Vince Young is again involved in another lawsuit but this time he claims that his ex-financial adviser is the one to blame.

A TMZ report said that Young allegedly borrowed $700,000 from Triton Financial and never paid it back. The complainant claimed that Young borrowed the amount in 2011 but until now they have not yet received a single cent as payment from the player.

A Chron report indicated that the lawsuit alleges Young of loaning the amount at 15 percent interest with a $21,000 loan origination fee and that he agreed to pay it by the end of the September last year.

However, in an interview with TMZ, Young maintained that he is the real victim in the issue as his former financial advisor, Ron Peoples, was the one who loaned the hefty amount.

"He was doing things without my approval-getting big loans put. He never had my authority," Young explained.

The former NLF player also said that when the loan was made, he was in Tennessee at the time still playing for the league. "Why do I need the loan? I'm out playing ball, making money at the time," he added.

But now Young admits that he is experiencing some financial troubles because he trusted the wrong people. Fan Sided reported that the player's debt has now grown to about $1.2 million including interest. Despite this, Young assured assured the public that he is doing his best to fix things.

This is not the first time that Young got involved in a legal battle as Chron noted that the former NFL player has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last year while he was dealing with another loan issue that also involved Peoples and a $1.8 million loan. The two, according to a separate TMZ report, already reached a settlement in 2013 prompting Young to withdraw his Chapter 11 filing.

The former No. 3 pick in the 2006 NFL draft is currently working in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at the University of Texas. Aside from this, he is also running his own management company called Access Brand Management.

"We go in and help athletes who get in trouble and work with them to get them back on the right track," he explained to TMZ.

Earlier reports said that Young's new job aims to raise money to support programs structured for first-generation and low-income college students.

A Kxan report said that the position was specifically crafted for Young who was directly hired by the university without him even submitting a resume, filling out forms or competing with others for the position. According to the university, as noted in the report, hires like Young are "rare and unique."
