As we inch closer to the official launch of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U, more details are slowly leaking out about the game, including previously unannounced characters. Apparently, users on the live-streaming site Twitch have been broadcasting gameplay and revealing secret characters before the game's official release.

Super Smash Bros. Release Dates:

3DS Release: Sept. 13 (Japan), Oct. 3 (North America, Europe), Oct. 4 (Australia)

Wii U Release: Q4 2014

According to Mashable, Twitch users Hamayama and Yushako have been playing and streaming for all to see the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros., which technically doesn't drop in Japan until Sept. 13. Hamayama and Yushako's live-streams of the game have already revealed several previously unconfirmed characters in the game; though, these same characters were already rumored to be in the game and had already appeared in screenshots on Reddit and 4chan, reports Mashable.

The Twitch streams of these users confirmed the existence of: Ness, Jigglypuff, Ganondorf, Dr. Mario, Wario, Falco and Mr. Game & Watch. These characters have all appeared at some point during previous Smash Bros. titles.

The new characters revealed by these streams include: Bowser Jr., Dark Pit and the dog from Duck Hunt. Yep, Duck Hunt Dog is back. He first appeared in Nintendo's 1984 Duck Hunt title. He appears to have a duck perched on his shoulder at all times while fighting and can apparently summon a hunter who can shoot enemies with a rifle. Neat. If you want to see screen shots of Duck Hunt Dog in action, check out the video below.

Here's another video showing a player face-off against Dark Pit. As you can see from the gameplay video, characters fighting can enter different fighting stages during a match for a change of scenery.

And finally, if you want to take a peak at Bowser Jr., check out the video below. He appears to be in the flying clowncopter from Super Mario World. In that game, Bowser--not Bowser Jr.--appears in the copter during the final boss battle.
