Mike Tyson became a rant machine on live TV last Wednesday, unleashing curses on a reporter for asking about the Toronto mayor's chances of winning an upcoming election after hanging out with him.

According to the New York Daily News, the incident happened a day after the boxing legend met with Mayor Rob Ford, whose immediate plans include running for re-election even as he had publicly admitted to using "every drug you can probably think of."

"Do you prefer him to be a guy that's clean-cut, and behind the door you never know what he's doing?" Tyson asked reporters Tuesday, certainly on the side of Ford, per the report. "We all make mistakes. He's a human being. He's no different than anybody else."

A day after the meeting, CP24 news anchor, Nathan Downer offended Tyson when he asked: "Some of your critics would say, 'There's a race for mayor. We know you're a convicted rapist. This could hurt his campaign.' How would you respond to that?"

"It's so interesting, you come off like a nice guy... but that was really a piece of s---, that comment. F--- you. That was a piece of s---," responded the former heavyweight champion.

Downer reminded Tyson they were on live TV but the boxer did not bat an eyelash: "I don't care. What are you going to do about it?"

According to the New York Post, Downer then asked Tyson about his one-man show "Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth." The veteran replied that the show's title "speaks for itself" before giving the floor to the promoter.

Downer then asked Tyson if it was nerve-wracking to perform on stage than on a boxing ring, to which Tyson replies: "It's more nerve-wracking for me to sit here talking to a rat piece of s--- like you." 

"C'mon, Mike," Downer then said as he cut the interview. When Downer wrapped up by thanking him though, Tyson, who served half of a six-year sentence in the 1990s for raping a teenager, managed to swear at him again, the report said.

Downer later tweeted, "I'm okay everybody. Unfortunately my question hurt Mike Tyson's feelings. That was not my intentions. My apolgies (sic) for the language."

Later on, he posted another tweet. It said, "No ill will toward Mike Tyson. He lashed out at me and that's okay. Not taking it personally."

Tyson was expecting easy questions, the Bleacher Report said, explaining that the question was more an ambush. Too bad for the reporter, it commented, as Tyson is someone you can talk to about a lot of things.

The retired boxer did try to brush the issue off, the report noted. "I don't know who said that, you're the only one I heard say that," Tyson said, as quoted by the report. However, he just couldn't let it pass.
