Chris Evans gave fans something to think about when he talked a little bit about his upcoming Marvel flicks, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Captain America 3." 

The Captain spoke to MTV while he was in Toronto promoting his new flick and directorial debut, "Before We Go."

So, what's in store for the films' followers?

"It's this giant web of plot, where everything is connected to everything else... that's the beautiful thing," described Evans of the flim, as quoted by MTV. He added, "and especially for the fanboys who understand these plotlines. With Cap 3, we're going to continue this excitement."

Although he didn't confirm rumors that "Age of Ultron" will end with the Cap leading a new band of Marvel heroes different from those in the original, he did say in the report that "Marvel doesn't disappoint. Whatever you're hoping for, you're probably going to get."

The 33-year-old took the time confirm that there'll still be more of him as Captain America. "Who's handing off the shield? Don't take my job from me prematurely dude." 

To further appease some anxious fans, the hunk said, "I got a few more movies that I have to finish first, which I'm happy to do. I'm sure it'll happen at some point, all good things have to come to an end. But I'm really happy playing the character."

Russo Brothers Talk 'Captain America 3'

Additionally, the Russo brothers, directors of the third Captain movie, revealed some tidbits on how they'll be tackling "Captain America 3." 

Moving from "The Winter Solider" to the third flick, Joe explained the continuity in the Captain America trilogy via SlashFilm, "In the Marvel cone of secrecy, we won't divulge too much, but I will say this. The movie is clearly written as a two-parter. There is a, there would seem to, the next movie would seem to require a continuation of the journey of the Winter Soldier."

In a separate interview, they also spoke about the Bucky Barns/ Winter Solider character. Collider quoted Joe who explained that their secondary story of Bucky was intentional because "That wasn't the point of that movie. The point of that movie was that, you know, a ghost from Cap's past comes back and punches him in the face and how does he deal with that issue while he's also trying to figure out how to save the world."

He explained how fascinating the mystery of the character is. "So, what's left to explore obviously is the personality of the character, much the way that Brubaker's run did after Winter Solider regained a semblance of his past.  Philosophical questions that we would want to deal with in Cap 2 would be, you know, is he redeemable?  Is he the worst assassin we've ever seen or is he the longest suffering POW?  Where does he live now?  Does he ever regain his memories?"

"Avengers Age of Ultron" is slated to hit theaters on May 1, 2015 while a year later, we'll see "Captain America 3" when it bows into cinemas May 6, 2016.
