Expect that the rematch between undefeated American boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Argentine fighter, Marcos Maidana, will be "extremely wild and dirty."
This was how Mayweather described their upcoming fight on Saturday in Las Vegas.
In a Reuters article, Mayweather, who has attained a record of 46-0, was encouraged by the Argentine boxer "to stop crying and just fight," based from his experience during their first encounter earlier this year.
And fight, according to Mayweather, is what he is going to do as he defends his WBA and WBC belt titles.
"I just have to go out there and just be me and be first. I can't really say how the fight is going to play out, but I'm pretty sure he's going to be once again extremely dirty and wild. My job is to keep everything under control the best way that I can," Mayweather was quoted by Reuters as saying, during one of his training sessions prior to the match.
He added that though Maidana made a good start during their previous match last May, he will still rise as the winner of their rematch.
"The fight was not close. He came out, he won the first round, I won the second round, he won the third and the fourth, and from the fifth on he lost every round. If you guys notice, I got tackled, the guy tried to knee me, I got a head butt, there were rabbit punches, there were low blows and the list goes on and on," he added.
The American fighter also recognized Maidana's skills, noting that he "did a little bit of everything" during their matchup. He added that he has come up with this own winning strategy.
For Maidana, he claimed that he needed to change just a few things to upset Mayweather this time.
"I feel that I just have to make a few adjustments, put a little more pressure on, land better punches, and yes I can win, I can win by decision," Maidana told Reuters.
The Mayweather-Maidana 2 match is definitely one of the anticipated fights of the year as an undefeated fighter and a great defensive boxer will meet for the second time. Fans are definitely expecting what will change in the game plan of the two. Will this match end Mayweather's unstained record and rise Maidana to instant stardom?
As Bleacher Report said, it will be exciting to find out how this play will turn out and how both boxers will receive blows and deliver their own punches in a game that could really be "reckless and chaotic." And this is something that people will look forward to during Saturday's fight.
