The singer may have ignored her ex-boyfriend--but not her father. 

During a recent celebrity basketball game, Chris Brown and Rihana's father, Ronald Fenty were spotted talking and taking a couple of selfies, reported Urban Islandz.

Witnesses claim that they seem to be having a hearty chat even when Rihanna herself was also present in the charity event held in New York. However, the female R&B singer seemed to have snubbed the "Loyal" singer.

Her cold treatment towards Chris could be proof that she's not planning to get back with the 25-year-old artist who pleaded guilty for an assault case he's been involved with.

The incident happened right outside a Washington hotel while he was still under probation for attacking her. Chris confessed that he hit a guy named Parker Adams who was getting in a picture while he was conversing with two women, not far from the White House in October. The victim sustained a broken nose.

According to CBC, Chris maintained a clean image until he got into the controversial on-and-off relationship with the "Monster" singer and his alleged violence toward her. Since then, he has made several headlines for various and separate flare-ups.

Chris' attorney, Danny Onorato, stated that his client is actually a "wonderful" person but is oftentimes misperceived.

Last year, Hollywood Life reported on how Rihanna's father has always wanted the two to get back together, despite Chris having been spotted kissing model Karrueche Tran.

The rapper's father may not be too happy with his son having a relationship with Rihanna, but things are opposite with Fenty. Rihana's dad is a self-confessed fan of their team up and believes that the two will be able to fix things and get back together again.

Chris Brown is not the only guy who is romantically re-linked to Rihanna these days. Drake was seen partying in a club with Rihanna as of late, adding fuel to the rumors that the two have also rekindled their romance.
