"Game of Thrones" cast Kristian Nairn revealed that he won't be seen in the upcoming season five of the HBO hit series along with another character who'll also be missing.

The Irish actor who plays the gigantic character of Hodor, known for carrying his master Brandon Stark throughout the previous episodes, spilled the news during his Yahoo interview.

Aside from his character not showing up in the fifth season of the show, he also said that the paralyzed character of Bran, played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright, will alsi not return.

However, the 38-year-old actor emphasized that their characters won't be killed or recast. The absence is simply because the story line won't be concentrating on them--at least during the fifth season of the George R.R. Martin bestselling book series.

Nairn's Hodor character is a faithful half-giant serving the Stark clan and protecting the young Lord Bran from any kind of antagonist that comes along his way. He only gets to speak one word which is his name but the character he portrays has always been a fan favorite.

The last time the two characters were seen on the show was when the young Stark already reached the three-eyed raven mentor. This means that they still have a long way to go, based on Martin's novels.

Screenrant reported that in the fourth book, titled "A Feast for Crows," Hodor and Bran are not at all present.

With Nairn having more time to focus on his music career, he can concentrate more on his current tour which already lists dates reaching up to the end of this year. He is set to travel in Australia, UK, Germany, Istanbul and all over US for his DJ stints. This also includes two New York Comic Conferences by October.

"Game of Thrones" season five is expected to start on April 2015.
