The Hispanic Heritage Foundation has released the list of honorees for this year's Hispanic Heritage Awards. According to the list, Zoe Saldaña will be receiving the award for Vision, presented by sponsor Hershey's.

Saldaña, real name Zoe Yadira Saldaña Nazario, is an award-winning American actress with Latin heritage. She has bagged awards for performances in several of her movies including Best Ensemble Cast for "Star Trek," four Best Actress awards for "Avatar," Outstanding Animated Character in a Live Action Feature Motion Picture award for "Avatar," and Choice Movie Actress in an Action Film award and Favorite Movie Actress for Drama/ Adventure for "Colombiana."

The actress will be receiving the award on September 18, 2014 during the 27^th run of the annual Hispanic Heritage Awards. The event will take place in Warner Theatre, Washington D.C. and will be covered by local and international media.

A total of 1,800 guests will be witnessing this year's Hispanic Heritage Awards. The guest list includes "White House officials, members of Congress, ambassadors, and representatives from 40 national Hispanic organizations who will [co-host] the program," said the Hispanic Heritage Foundation.

The non-profit organization also lists former New York Yankees Bernie Williams to receive the Hispanic Heritage Award for sports, architect Henry R. Muñoz III for the Leadership award, the Hayden School Robotics Team for education, Rep. Ruben Hinojosa for the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) award, Mexican singer-songwriter and actor Pepe Aguilar for Master of Arts and Colombian singer-composer Carlos Vives for the Legend award. The 65th Infantry Regiment of the US Army "The Borinqueneers" will also receive special recognition.

"The Hispanic community has made significant contributions throughout history, and we are proud to recognize that impact. Beyond celebrating our past success, we are focused on the future. Now more than ever, Latinos will play a vital role in moving America forward...," said Jose Antonio Tijerino, president and CEO of HHF, as quoted in a press release statement.

The organization has awarded several other celebrities, athletes and professionals from the Latin community in the past including Ricky Martin, Oscar de la Hoya, Eva Longoria, Rosario Dawson, America Ferrera, Rita Moreno, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Juan Luis Guerra, Alejandro Sanz, and Placido Domingo among others.

Those who won't be able to attend the event can tune in on September 29, 10:00 pm E.T. at PBS for a delayed one-hour special broadcast.
