We've all heard rumors that he'd be playing with Valencia and Juventus and many others, but Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez could be landing for Real Madrid after all.

Manchester United has agreed to loan Hernandez to Real Madrid for a season, Fox Sports reported, citing a tweet from Sky Sports' Spanish football expert Guillem Balague. The deal could be completed Monday it added.

Saying the Mexican footballer might have grown frustrated with not being chosen to play for the first team at Old Trafford, Fox Sports said Hernandez has figured in shifts during the transfer window, with Valencia and Juventus among the teams rumored to have interest in him. Also linked were Tottenham and Southampton.

According to Inside Spanish Football, Hernandez has played for a measly 45 minutes in the Premier League season and lost to Milton Keynes in one full match at Capital One Cup last week.

NBC Sports noted that Manchester United was giving Chicharito less and less playing time, undoubtedly solidifying his assumed role as a super sub. 

With journalist Tancredi Palmeri having tweeted about the deal and David McDonnell having also tweeted about the wage split being ironed out, it cannot be denied that the Mexican was tranferring to a team with so many superstars.

For Los Blancos, Hernandez will back up starting forward Karim Benzema after Alvaro Morata went to Juventus, Inside Spanish Football said, noting that the signing could be the team's last transfer business for the summer. It also brought in Toni Kroos, James Rodriguez and Keylor Navas.

The 26-year-old can add an extra goal threat but will not disrupt the momentum for star players like Benzema, Sporting News said. Fox Sports agreed, saying Real Madrid turned its attention to Hernandez to give the team more striking options.

The report quoted Balague as saying: "Some may say that is surprising because they have lost a midfielder in Xabi Alonso, but they also lost (Alvaro) Morata and (Real Madrid manager Carlo) Ancelotti decided if they were going to get anybody it will be a No. 9. That's it, Real Madrid have got another striker."

According to the Sporting News report, Hernandez saw Real Madrid as the best opportunity to prove himself even with already consistent performance with the Red Devils.

Hernandez debuted with Manchester United four years ago after playing with the Mexican team FC Guadalajara. He has scored 59 goals in 154 appearances.
