With "The Walking Dead" Season 5 Episode 1 premiere soon to happen, AMC has found a way to thrill more fans of the zombie apocalypse show, with the release of several teasers and magazine covers.

A new path is laid out for the characters with the latest story arc featuring a brand new antagonist. The new trailers have made it clear that Carol and Tyreese are still free but completely not out of the woods.

"The Walking Dead" Season 5 trailers may be way too short to render spoilers of what to clearly expect especially from the new season's first episode, but they are enough to build excitement for the show's comeback this October, states Screenrant.

Metro adds that in another short trailer, an extremely worried Daryl Dixon can be seen, and the clip ends with a scream while someone seems to be chopping a body on a table. Could it be a hint of cannibalism happening on the show's new season?

A different trailer also shows Rick threatening Gareth, the Terminus leader while saying, "These people are my family, and if you hurt them in any way I will kill you."

To further promote the all new "The Walking Dead" Season 5, the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly came out with four covers, featuring some of the hit series' lead cast.

A still released shows Seth Gilliam as Father Gilliam Stokes and the covers featured Andrew Lincoln as Rick, Steven Yuen and Lauren Cohan as Glenn and Maggie, Norman Reedus as Daryl, and Danai Gurira as Michonne.

During the San Diego Comic-Con 2014, executive producer Robert Kirkman revealed that he knows which characters are going to be killed and when. Lead actor Andrew Lincoln shared that his Rick character has come to the point of using all forms of violence in defense of his people.

Lincoln also shared that all the gore and suspense that were shown in the past season can still be considered kid-friendly. But with the latest fifth season of the AMC show, he described it as totally all "grown-up," Entertainment Weekly reports.

"The Walking Dead" Season 5 episode 1 premiere happens on October 12 via AMC at 9 p.m.
