The Venezuelan actress and her "Más Sabe El Diablo" co-star, Jencarlos Canela, have confirmed their rumored split via Twitter.
Latin Times earlier reported of a possible break-up between the two Latino stars, saying that the rumors have been swirling for months already. The outlet even said that the actress' PR office is set to confirm the allegations.
With her Premios Tu Mundo hosting stint over and done with, Gaby has dropped the news of their break-up. Below is a rough translation of the Spanish announcement:
"Because of the great affection we have for all our fans around the world, we inform you that mutually agreed to put an end to our affair in the best terms and with all due respect that our family deserves."
The statement added, "We are not separating because when it comes to family, that word does not exist. We are simply deciding to be best friends and move on. We take this time to tell the media that only through this press release will we talk about the matter."
Gaby and Jencarlos have been together for almost four years. The couple had baby boy Nickolas in 2012. People reported that both Latino stars are quite happy being parents.
Jencarlos said that fatherhood has altered his life, adding that his first encounter with baby Nickolas was indescribable, stated People.
The break-up will most definitely sadden fans of the two but more than that, it will also leave them guessing as to why they parted ways. Gaby and Jencarlos did not mention any reason in the announcemet.
However, the couple made it clear that there was no third party involved in the seemingly amicable break-up. Interestingly, Latin Times said that Gaby has been spotted getting quite close to Premios Tu Mundo co-host Aaron Diaz.
"An onlooker saw the pair dine together on Thursday night, but that could be because they also both co-hosted the Telemundo award show," the outlet reported. "We can't confirm the news, but during the 2-hour broadcast of the show, Espino was seen getting cozy with her co-host and even throwing some flattering remarks his way."
Throwing flattering remarks toward your co-host is pretty normal but dining together is a bit shady.
What do you think of Gaby and Aaron? Were the two simply hanging out in line with work or is there something more? Sound off in the comments!
