It seems that the next-generation Samsung Galaxy Mega is already up for grabs, at least in Malaysia!

Malaysian retailer SenHeng has listed the phone as available for purchase on its website. Only available in black, the phone is tagged Rm 1, 299 - roughly $410. The listing indicates that SenHeng has 10 units of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 up for grabs.

Samsung has not rolled out a release date for the phone but GSM Arena listed a rumored release date of September 2014.

The alleged phone's specs and features were also included in the listing. It is supposed to run on Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by 1.5GHz Quad-Core with 1.5GB RAM.

The listing also revealed that the Galaxy Mega 2 will sport a 6-inch HD TFT screen and an 8MP camera. The phone allows up to 8G of internal storage, with a microSD card slot to boost memory.

Although the said specs and features have already been posted on the SenHeng website, they should be taken with a grain of salt as Samsung has not yet confirmed anything about the upcoming phone.

Previous rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 seem to slightly differ from the SenHeng listing.

Android Community earlier reported that a TENAA certification has leaked the phone's specs and features. The document shows a device with a 6-inch 720p display, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 2GB of RAM and internal storage of up to 8GB.

Unlike the purported 8MP shooter on the SenHeng website, the TENAA certification reveals a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.

However, as noted in the Android Community report, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 has also been previously rumored to have a 1.5 GHz Pega Pro quad-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM and an 8MP rear camera. Internal storage was rumored to be more generous at 16GB.

In sum, no single set of rumored specs and features about the upcoming Samsung device seems to coincide with those posted on the SenHeng website. This leads many to wonder whether the ad is indeed genuine or was just posted for traffic and publicity.

Android Community noted in its report that the discrepancies seem to suggest two models of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 but we want to ask you.

Is SenHeng's Galaxy Mega 2 listing legit or is the Malaysian retailer only taking advantage of the buzz on the device? Cast your vote in the poll below.
