After all the hard work that singer and songwriter, Robin Thicke, has done to try to win back estranged wife, Paula Patton, it seems he has simply decided to move on, and rumors say he's dating Katie Holmes.

It was several months ago when Thicke thought of dedicating an entirely new album for Patton titled "Paula."

Thicke and Patton's marriage turned sour, allegedly because of infidelity issues on the side of Thicke.

"Thicke was photographed getting close to women other than his wife. In September, a socialite claimed she kissed the "Blurred Lines" singerafter meeting at a VMAs after-party at 1Oak. In January, he was seen "dirty dancing" with a woman in Paris," the Huffington Post reported in February this year.

Thicke's controversial performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV VMAs 2013 "utterly disrespected" Patton, according to TMZ.

Sadly, the 37-year-old singer's new album did not just become a flop -- it did not win his wife's heart back. According to LA Times, It topped the list of album flops of 2014. 

Thicke might be putting all those bad memories behind him with his new life and possibly, new love.

Before being linked with the "Dawson's Creek" star, Thicke was photographed with a bikini-clad woman, along with his son, that many thought was his new girlfriend. In a report from Daily Mail, it was revealed that the lady in question is his son's nanny.

The Inquisitr recalled that Thicke and Holmes first met on the set of "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol." Patton was shooting scenes with lead star, Tom Cruise, who is the ex-husband of Holmes, now.

An insider shared with New Idea via Celebrity Fix that it was Holmes who got in touch with Thicke through email. "She dropped him an email recently to see how he was, knowing he was going through divorce hell," and that "he was so happy to hear from her." 

Thicke and Holmes have not been spotted in any date whatsoever but the insider claims that the two are planning to go out soon. It seems that the tough challenge of going through a divorce is what they share in common.

Patton, on the other hand, is keeping herself busy as her latest movie, "Warcraft," is already in post production. She is also speculated to take part in the upcoming "Mission: Impossible 5."
