Alexander Skarsgard a.k.a. Eric Northman of the hit HBO show, "True Blood," is feeling the blues, now that the popular TV series is already ending.

The 37-year-old actor shared that the last days he spent on the "True Blood" brought him to tears.

"It was the saddest moment of my career, for sure... I was ready to move on creatively. I thought it was time, so I was sort of prepared for it, but I cried like a baby. It was so sad. The last couple of weeks leading up to my final scenes that I shot were extremely emotional. I'm already missing it." Skarsgard said, according to E! Online.

But will Eric end up with Sookie?

In a report by IBTimes, the last episode of the vampire drama series season seven is titled "Thank You." It involves the character of Bill, played by Stephen Moyer, who is believed to be sacrificing the cure for the sake of Sookie's happiness. At the final scene of the episode, he explains his acceptance of death as his final destiny.

Moyer who is married to Anna Paquin (Sookie) in real life, did not confirm if his character will indeed die or if he "gets a happy ending with Sookie," IBTimes added.

The couple were both cool with the possibility of Sookie ending up with either Alcide or Eric, states THR

Moyer told THR, "One of the things that Anna and I said - we had a dinner with Bucky [showrunner Brian Buckner] a year ago, before we had started filming, when they were just conceiving of this year, and quite frankly sat down with him and said, 'We do not need in any way need you guys to try to tie up the Bill-Sookie love knot. If you don't feel like that's part of the show, we absolutely don't need for it to be that.' I had said, 'If you want that, we both do. If you see the show as Alcide [Joe Manganiello] and Sookie, that would be totally cool by us. If you see it as Eric [Alexander Skarsgard] and Sookie, that would be absolutely cool.' I certainly didn't want to play an obvious part. One of the things we've been good at is surprising the audience, not always giving them what they want or expect. So for me, it's been interesting to sort of find that character again. He's been so many things. I think he's had the most difficult arc in many respects, trying to find that sustenance and feeling."

Meanwhile, Skarsgard is rumored to be getting close with Hollywood A-lister Katie Holmes, who is also his co-star in her comeback movie, "The Giver."

The speculated dating rumors between the two were denied by the actor. It may have been triggered by the role he plays in the movie, which is Holmes' hubby.

"I don't even think about them. I don't pay any attention to them," he said of the rumored on-set romantic fling via E! Online.

"True Blood" is based on Charlaine Harris' book series called "Southern Vampire Mysteries," notes The New York Daily News. It ran for seven seasons on television and also starred Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Joe Manganiello, and Deborah An Woll.
