Jon Koppenhaver, also known as War Machine, was arrested last Aug. 15 in a hotel room in Los Angeles but the tipster responsible for his capture refused the $20k reward money.

According to TMZ, Mary Casamento, who was staying at the same hotel where War Machine was hiding, claimed that she is dying of cancer and that she just wants to "pay the reward forward."

Casamento said that when she heard a commotion and saw a woman come out of the MMA fighter's room, this prompted her to call the cops who arrested War Machine.

She, however, refused the reward money claiming that she already has enough until her last days. Casamento decided to donate the amount to the battered women's shelter in Santa Clarita, California.

In a report of the arrest, Hollywood Life mentioned that the police needed to shoot War Machine with a taser gun before he was finally assaulted. His arrest came after reports that he allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend Christy Mack who sustained severe wounds and bruises on her face and various parts of her body.

It was also added that prior to his arrest, the MMA fighter was seen yelling and pushing another woman while another tried to calm him down. The latter was "grabbed by the hair" by War Machine.

Another source told KTLA details of how the police arrested War Machine.

"And they were like banging on the door, trying to get it open, and they're like, 'Open the door, open the door. Finally when they got it open they yelled, 'Gun,' and then all of a sudden you see them shoot him with a Taser. And he got shot with a Taser and he went down to the floor, and then they handcuffed him," Nicolle Blankenship told KTLA.

It was added by TMZ that the cops found cash and some pizza inside the suspect's hotel room. He is now currently detained in a Ventura jail where he will be staying for quite some time as his case is non-bailable. He already appeared last July 19 in court.

The MMA fighter went into hiding after he allegedly brutally beat Mack - leaving her with 18 broken bones in her face, a fractured rib and a ruptured liver. He denied the allegation on social media saying he was there that night to propose to Mack. But, according to Sports World News, War Machine has earlier joked about killing and raping his pornstar girlfriend.

As of this writing, Mack is already on her way to recovery but still has a long road to take. She has already underwent dental transplant to replace her teeth and a surgeon offered free facial reconstructive surgery. After her recovery, Mack told Sports World News that she will return to making porn videos.
