This summer's worst kept secret has been the Kevin Love-Andrew Wiggins trade. Ever since Lebron James spurned the Miami Heat in order to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, it was considered a given that Love would be dealt by the Timberwolves and join James on what would be the Eastern Conferences best team--by far. Well, the deal is now reportedly done. A three-team trade involving the Cavs, T-Wolves and the 76ers was agreed upon and finally made official today.

According to Bleacher Report, the Cavaliers will send Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and Thaddeus Young to the Timberwolves in exchange for Love, and the T-Wolves will ship Luc Mbah a Moute, Alexy Shved and a future 1st-round pick to the 76ers.

Some feel the deal was in place at least as early as when James made his decision to go to Cleveland--if not before that. Lebron very well may have not gone to Cleveland unless he knew that they could get Love. Apparently the Cavs and T-Wolves had a "verbal agreement" to deal Love for Wiggins, reports Bleacher Report.

Kevin Love has one year left on his current contract and reportedly Love will sign a max contract with the Cavs when that deal expires this summer, if not sooner. It is expected that the deal would be for five years and $120 million.

The TImberwolves wanted to hold on to Love until either the trade deadline in February or until the summer, when they had hoped to be able to convince Love to resign. But apparently Love's agent informed Minnesota GM Flip Saunders that he would not be resigning with Minnesota.

Had Love lasted in Minnesota until next summer, he would have been one of the most sought after free agents, by far. For years it had been assumed that Kevin Love would end up a Laker when his contract with Minnesota was over. The Golden State Warriors also had a deal with Minnesota in the works, and before James returned to Cleveland, many thought the Love to Golden State deal was all but finalized.
