"Harry Potter" fans are up for a big surprise with the release of another character's story in the Pottermore series -- Celestina Warbeck, a singing sorceress.
The new story which was released on Today, tells the life of Celestina Warbeck who was also revealed to be one of the favorite "off-stage" Harry Potter series' characters of Rowling.
According to the character's biography, Warbeck attended the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The story progresses with her mom constantly requesting the institution to come up with a music club or choir group for her to become a part of.
The "Harry Potter" bestselling author described the character as someone similar in the looks of Shirley Bassey. Rowling also disclosed that the new character's first name is based from one of her friends in real life with whom she worked with years ago, stated MTV.
Fans who have signed up at Pottermore.com would discover that Warbeck's character is not entirely new. She has appeared off-stage in the Potter books along with the "Daily Prophet" series that was written entirely for the Harry Potter fan club.
Her featured full profile on the website comes with a performance of her hit song called "You Stole My Cauldron But You Can't Have My Heart."
Other details revealed by Rowling about the singing sorceress include the following:
Birthday: August 18
Wand: Larch and phoenix feather, 10 1/2 inches long, flexible
Hogwarts House: Gryffindor
Special abilities: Ability to drown out a chorus of banshees, tap-dancing, fancy baking
Parentage: Wizard father, Muggle mother
Family: Has married three times; one son
Hobbies: Travelling in fabulous style, breeding rough-coated Crups, relaxing in any of her eight homes
For any avid "Harry Potter" fan, it would be easy to remember that Ron Weasley's mom and his other siblings who were all featured in the books, were once mentioned to have listened often to Warbeck's Christmas concerts.
The Pottermore website has certainly made a huge success in pleasing fans who have always wanted to read more "Harry Potter" related stories. It has served as a huge consolation from Rowling who said that she won't pursue writing another book in the series.
The entire story of Celestina Warbeck is just about 500 words short and chronicles not just the back story of the singer but also most of her career milestones and other personal life details.
J.K Rowling's upcoming Potterverse film adaptation, "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" will hit the big screen on November 18, 2016.
