Dong Nguyen, the creator of the Flappy Bird game, is at it again, with a new release set to debut this week he's calling, Swing Copters. In the new game players will deal with hammers while trying to reach the sky.

Nguyen pulled Flappy Bird from the Apple App Store after the game proved to be way too addictive. It also made a ton of money, because, according to the website MacRumors, the app generated $50,000 a day.

The game is described as being almost about as difficult as its bird version, making people want to try "one more time" after being "killed". As MacRumors reports, Swing Copters will have players navigate platforms with swinging hammers while climbing upwards towards the sky. There won't be the side-scrolling play from before, but movement upwards instead. Swing Copters will be released this Thursday, Aug 21 and will be available for free with ads. The add-free version will cost $0.99.

Swing Copters attacks the player with swinging hammers and the player has to dodge beams. It's not too much unlike its predecessor, "Flappy Bird". That game "became a mobile gaming obsession and a tremendous financial success" reported Polygon.com "At the beginning of this year until Nguyen removed it from the iOS and Google app stores, saying he was uncomfortable by the amount of time players were putting into the game."

As MacRumors reports, "According to TouchArcade editor-in-chief Eli Hodapp, Swing Copters emulates the "one more try" gameplay of Flappy Bird while being even more "brutally difficult."  Toucharcade goes on to explain that the difficulty lies in having to swerve the character in between the beams while hammers are jutting out. "Just getting through the gates themselves would be tricky enough, but adding in the swinging hammer things below them is just ridiculous," the website elaborated.
