iPhone 6 features may include an A8 processor chip made by Taiwanese tech company TMSC, according to Digitimes.
The report said that 60 to 70 percent of the A8 processor chip bound for future Apple devices will be manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) as Apple will lessen its dependency on its supplier, Samsung, in making the processors.
TSMC, the world's largest independent semiconductor manufacturer, will build a new plant to accommodate the processor production for Apple, according to a report by Android Authority.
This rumour is no longer new as it has been making the rounds since last year. The report also stated that Apple finally signed a deal with TSMC to make the processors of upcoming Apple products starting 2014 last summer. In the meantime, Samsung is still in charge of making the processors for upcoming Apple products that will be released this year such as the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2.
According to various reports, iPhone 6 release date may happen on the first quarter of next year between January and March. It is speculated that Apple is bound to release another smartphone despite the recent launch of iPhone 5S and 5C.
The iPhone 6 is dubbed to be Apple's own version of phablet and will pack high end and amazing specs. Thus, all of the updates and innovation that Apple wants to include in the handset will be present in the next iPhone.
iPhone 6 will face off with Samsung Galaxy Note series. The iPhone 6 is expected to include features like 5 inches Full HD screen display, A8 processor, Touch ID fingerprint sensor, 12-megapixel rear camera, NFC and internal storage of up to 128 GB, according to a number of reports.
However, Apple remained tight-lipped on the details of its roadmap and iDevices set to be launched.
